Palace assures distribution of food packs in granular lockdown areas

The Palace assured that areas placed under granular lockdown in the National Capital Region (NCR) will receive food supplies.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said on Tuesday (Sep. 14) that the local government unit (LGU) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will join forces in distributing the food packs.

Roque clarified that residents affected by granular lockdown and alert level system starting on Thursday (Sep. 16) will not receive financial aid.

In today’s (Sep. 15) Laging Handa public briefing, Metro Manila Council (MMC) Chairman and Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez affirmed that the LGUs and DSWD will distribute food packs for 7 days each and that no cash will be given to the residents.
