NTF: Vax rate in other regions is increasing

The National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 on Tuesday (Sep. 28) reported that the vaccination rate in other regions is increasing, following the additional COVID-19 vaccines allocated for the provinces.

In the NTF’s recent report, seven regions have administered over 20% of their target population namely the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Region 11, Region 4A, Region 3, Region 7, Caraga, and Region 6.

“Tumataas na po ang percentage ng fully-vaccinated sa mga regions. Humahabol na sila sa [vaccination output] National Capital Region (NCR),” NTF Chief Implementer and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez said.

Galvez said the figure is expected to increase since 90% of the delivered vaccines in the country in September will be allocated for the provinces. He added that the government aims to vaccinate 10 million to 15 million doses in October to increase the number of fully vaccinated individuals in the country.
