PRRD shows up in Sofitel on last day of COC filing

President Rodrigo Duterte was present at the Sofitel tent which serves as the certificate of candidacy (COC) filing venue on Friday (Oct. 8), in support of the administration bets for the upcoming 2022 elections.

Duterte was seen with Sen. Christopher Go, former Sen. Gringo Honasan, former Public Works Sec. Mark Villar, Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, and other Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) bets under his faction.

Atty. Melvin Matibag of the Duterte-Alfonso Cusi faction of PDP-Laban said former police chief and Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa will run as the party’s presidential bet.

Dela Rosa filed his candidacy on Oct. 8 afternoon and was accompanied by Cusi. He will be running with Go for the country’s top positions.

Meanwhile, Panelo said in an ambush interview that they are not sure whether Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will be filing her COC for president.

The presidential daughter already said she will finish her last term as the mayor of  Davao City before seeking another position. AG-rir
