Apple unveils new MacBook Pro with M1 Pro, M1 Max chips

SAN FRANCISCO – Apple on Monday (Oct. 18) unveiled the new MacBook Pro powered by M1 Pro and M1 Max, the chips designed for the Mac.


Available in 14-inch and 16-inch models, the new MacBook Pro features a Liquid Retina XDR display, a wide range of ports for connectivity, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera.

Combined with macOS Monterey, the new MacBook Pro is engineered to take full advantage of M1 Pro and M1 Max, the company said.

“The new MacBook Pro simply has no equal and is by far the best pro notebook we’ve ever built,” Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said.
