Bong Go reiterates full commitment to continue Duterte legacy

PDP-Laban vice presidential aspirant and incumbent senator Christopher “Bong” Go emphasized his full commitment to pursue and expand the programs and positive change started by the Duterte administration.

He also said that any change in the PDP-Laban plans for the 2022 elections would highly depend on the decision of its chairman, President Rodrigo Duterte.

Go lauded the accomplishments of the Duterte administration’s legacy projects and initiatives, notably its focus on peace and order, while emphasizing the need to sustain them in the years ahead.

So ako naman, basta patuloy po itong vice presidential candidacy ko 100%,” he added.

Go also welcomed the idea of President Duterte running for senator in the 2022 elections, saying he would be a “big help” to the government if elected.

Go said at the launch of the 146th Malasakit Center at the Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center in Las Piñas City on Wednesday (Oct. 27).

Energy Sec. Alfonso Cusi, who heads PDP-Laban, said that attempts are being made to push Duterte to consider running for the Senate next year.

Despite his candidacy, Go emphasized the need to stay focused on his responsibilities as a senator and public servant, particularly in supporting the government and the people in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

So huwag muna nating pag-usapan ‘yang pulitika. Sila muna ang unahin natin,” said Go.

(Office of SBG) – jlo
