Duterte Legacy: Gov’t response on the marginalized

Under President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s administration, the government concentrated on its response to ease the lives of the marginalized in the Philippines.

President Duterte signed Republic Act No. 11291 or the Magna Carta of the Poor that aims to recognize the rights of the marginalized Filipinos. He also signed the Executive Order No. 137 or the AHON program, which aims to accelerate and harmonize aid and humanitarian operations of the national government during disasters and emergencies.

It is also under his administration that the RA No. 11310 or the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) has been signed into law. NGS-rir
