Message of Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar for All Saint’s Day and All Souls’ Day

Message of Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar for All Saint’s Day and All Souls’ Day

We join the whole Christian community around the world in observing All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

During these special occasions, let us remember and honor our departed family members, friends, and loved ones and the fond memories we of them that have made significant impacts in our lives and have enriched our faith in God.

May these days of recollection further allow us to remember the profound roles and the prodigious lives our saints have shared with us, as these have taught us lessons that made us reflect on our faith and brought us closer to our divine Creator.

Although restrictions set in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic have affected our traditional visitations, let us continue to pay tribute to our dearly departed in the comfort of our homes, in fulfillment of our duty and responsibility of protecting ourselves and our loved ones from the contagion.

May these observances inspire us to further strengthen our faith in the Lord as well as to uphold our morals and principles as we further unite as one nation in healing and recovering from the pandemic.

We ask everyone to continue adhering to minimum health protocols as well as to get vaccinated. We wish everyone a peaceful, meaningful, and safe observance. (PCOO)
