PhilHealth assures it has enough funds for hospital claims

By Pearl Gumapos

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) on Thursday (Nov. 4) assured its partner hospitals that it has enough funds to pay for the hospital claims.

Hindi namin ito tatalikuran,” PhilHealth manager Rey Baleña said during the Laging Handa public briefing.

Baleña said the reason for the staggered release of claims was due to the pandemic which slowed down the processing of claims.

He said PhilHealth asks for their partner hospitals’ understanding and support.

“Moving forward, matatanggap na nila iyong mga bayad na nakabinbin sa nakaraan,” he said.

Meanwhile, Baleña also said PhilHealth has enough funds to provide for the hospital claims.

-rir
