The Philippine National Police has added 240 vehicles to its fleet of land mobile assets to support requirements for mobility in police operations.

Four days ahead of his retirement, PNP Chief, Police General Guillermo Lorenzo T. According to Eleazar, the 240 brand new vehicles were procured by the PNP Bids and Awards Committee chaired by PNP Director for Comptrollership, Police Maj. Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., from appropriations of the Capability Enhancement Program 2021 with a total contract price of P818, 175, 766.00.

PNP Acting Director for Logistics, Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Olay, said the ten utility trucks will be issued to the five Area Police Offices for North Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas, Eastern Mindanao, and Western Mindanao; while the 13 shuttle buses will be distributed to the Police Regional Offices and PNP Academy.

The 90 4×4 troop carriers will be issued to Police Mobile Forces and Municipal Police Stations with rugged and mountainous terrain, while the 127 patrol vehicles will be distributed to Police Stations, Olay said.
