Simultaneous chess exhibition matches set for Nov. 19 in QC

MANILA – The Bayanihan Chess Club will hold a free registration simultaneous chess exhibition on Friday, Nov. 19 at 1:00 pm at the Planas Site Covered Court, Barangay Kaunlaran, Cubao, Quezon City.

Thirteen-time Philippine Open Champion Grandmaster Rogelio “Joey” Antonio Jr. will conduct the 10-board simultaneous chess exhibition matches to challenge Quezon City Fourth District resident woodpushers’ problem solving abilities, critical and strategic thinking.

“We do this to promote chess in the grassroots level,” Antonio said.

“This will be a great opportunity for Quezon City Fourth District residents, even young players, to play with GM Antonio,” Lawyer Rudy Rivera said.
