NCR, Isabela, Cagayan, record highest number of COVID-19 cases on Nov. 20

The National Capital Region (NCR), Isabela, and Cagayan registered the most number of COVID-19 cases on Saturday (Nov. 20) according to the OCTA Research Group.

Among 1,474 new cases, 290 came from NCR, 184 from Isabela, and 107 from Cagayan.

In cities and municipalities, Marikina City leads with 56 new cases followed by Quezon City with 46 new cases, and Baguio City with 42 new cases.

OCTA says these numbers are still low.

The data was automatically extracted from the Department of Health (DOH) DataDrop, OCTA research member Dr. Guido David said.

However, the total number of deaths remains high at 205.

Meanwhile, David said projections this Sunday (Nov. 21) showed a decrease in cases today compared to yesterday.

“Projections show a decrease in cases today compared to yesterday. My estimate is 1,100 with a range of about 1000 to 1400. With this number, it would definitely bode well for my projection of less than 1,000 cases in the PH by end of November, with 200 in the NCR,” he said.
