Bong Go leaves presidential bid to God

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go said he is leaving his fate to God on whether or not he will push through with his presidential bid in the 2022 national elections.

“Itong presidency, it’s all destiny at ang Diyos lang po ang nakakaalam, kung para sa’yo iyan at kailan. Kung ilalagay ka talaga niya diyan, ilalagay ka niya diyan,” he said.

“I realized that my heart and mind are contradicting my own actions. Tao lang po ako na nasasaktan at napapagod din. O baka dahil sadyang napakarumi at ganoon kainit lang talaga ang pulitika,” he said.

“Pero sa ngayon, baka hindi ko pa po panahon. Ako ‘yung taong handang magsakripisyo para wala nang maipit, masaktan at mamroblema,” he added.

Go has yet to declare his final resolve regarding his election plans, but thanked President Rodrigo Duterte who has always been supportive of him. – Report from Mela Lesmoras/AG-rir
