A lone player from Batangas became an instant millionaire after hitting the P5.94 million jackpot of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) 6/42 Lotto game on Saturday (Nov. 27) night.

In an advisory on Sunday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the lucky player guessed the winning combination of 07-13-05-30-24-12 and bought their ticket in Tanauan, Batangas.

This is the third consecutive night and seventh time this month that a sole player has bagged the jackpot prize of the state lottery’s games:

  • Nov. 26: from Calapan City, Occidental Mindoro, P378 million, Ultra Lotto 6/58
  • Nov. 25:  from Manila City, P16 million, Lotto 6/42
  • Nov. 13, from Laguna, P8.48 million, Lotto 6/42
  • Nov. 9: from Quezon City, P15 million, Super Lotto 6/49
  • Nov. 7: from Misamis Oriental, P8.24 million, Lotto 6/42
  • Nov. 4: from San Carlos City, Pangasinan, P125 million, Super Lotto 6/49

To claim their check, the jackpot winner must present the winning ticket and two ID cards at PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City.

As provided in the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, lotto winnings of more than P10,000 shall be subject to a 20% final tax.

The PCSO also said that 73 other players who guessed five out of the six winning numbers won P24,000 each, 403 players got P800 each for getting four winning numbers, and 30,802 won P20 each for guessing three correct numbers.

The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

PCSO General Manager Royina Garma urged the public to keep patronizing PCSO products as a large chunk of its revenue goes to charity programs.

The PCSO serves as the principal government agency for raising and providing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities of national character. (PNA) – jlo
