First 24/7 COVID-19 cluster clinic now serving patients in Davao City

The city government of Davao and private partners opened the first 24/7 COVID-19 Cluster Clinic in Doña Vicenta Village, Bahada and start serving patients today (Dec.6) to provide free medical services related to COVID-19 and to further enhance the city’s response to the pandemic.

Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio, representatives from partner agencies, and the Chargé d’ Affaires, ad interim of U.S. Embassy Manila, Heather Variava attended the opening on Friday (Dec. 2). The clinic started to serve patients today (Dec.6).

“We are partnering with the city of Davao to create free clinics for people to come and get tested, get treatments for COVID-19,” ad interim Heather Variava said.

The city’s COVID-19 Task Force Spokesman Michelle Schlosser said the clinic is a one-stop-site offering free contact tracing, consultation and medicine, swab test, quarantine or isolation, transportation and food for suspected, probable, or confirmed COVID-19 cases. The clinic will also offer telemedicine consultations.

“All services related to COVID-19 management are there. All will be provided to our patients. The clinic does not limit the number of patients. We have enough doctors to address their concerns,” Schlosser said.

The establishment of the cluster clinics was in partnership with Reach Health-US Agency for International Development (USAID).

The city will put seven more cluster clinics around the city to provide all services related to COVID-19 for free. -Report from Hanna Mae Salcedo (PTV Davao) / CC-rir
