Personnel of the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) are sorting, repacking, and hauling relief goods for distribution to Typhoon Odette victims in Surigao, the organization wrote on their Facebook page on Sunday (Dec. 19).

Ready-to-eat food and canned goods, noodles, bottled water, rice, crackers, and coffee are to be distributed to residents of barangays located in the vicinity of Littoral Monitoring Station-Surigao.
“NFEM aims to provide immediate relief assistance to typhoon-affected families by handing out food packs and other basic necessities,” they said.

They added that the Command “continues to monitor the situation on the ground and conducts its own relief operations.”
The goods were donated by Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Commodore Nelson Guevarra of PG Flex Premium Plastic Group and retired Philippine Navy Commander Edison “Bong” Nebrija. (NFEM) – jlo
