Typhoon Odette damages reach P127-M

The damage caused by Typhoon Odette towards the agricultural sector has reached P127 million.

According to the Department of Agriculture (DA), the areas most affected by the typhoon are Western Visayas and Caraga.

An estimated 3,000 farmers from these two regions were affected by the storm.

Meanwhile, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) report, up to 202,605 families or 780,800 individuals have been affected by Typhoon Odette.

More than 279,000 people are now staying at evacuation centers.

The DSWD ensured that it will continue to assist those affected by the storm.
