Liquor at gun ban, itinakda na ng Comelec

Naglabas ng mga mga bagong resolusyon ang Commission on Election (Comelec) kaugnay sa idaraos na halalan sa 2022. Kabilang dito ang Resolution No. 10746 para sa “liquor ban” na epektibo mula Mayo 8 hanggang sa araw ng eleksiyon sa Mayo 9, 2022.

May mga tinukoy namang “exemptions” dito, gaya ng hotels, resorts, restaurants, at kahalintulad na “duly certified” ng Department of Tourism.

Maaaring maghain ng aplikasyon para sa exemption sa National Capital Region (NCR) regional election director o provincial election supervisors at kapareho sa kani-kanilang lugar.

Magkakaroon din ng “gun ban” o “firearms ban” sa panahon ng election period, batay sa Resolution No. 10728.

Bukod dito, inisyu rin ang Resolution No. 10741 para sa pagkakaroon ng mga Comelec  checkpoints upang maging epektibo umano ang implementasyon ng gun ban.

Sa Resolution No. 10747 naman, ipatutupad ang ban sa pagsasagawa ng “public works o infrastructure projects.”Ipagbabawal na rin ang release o paglalabas ng disbursements o expenditures ng public funds.

Sa Resolution No. 10743, nakasaad ang “deputization” ng mga tanggapan ng gobyerno upang matiyak ang malaya, mapayapa, tapat, at mapagkakatiwalaang eleksiyon.

At sa Resolution No. 10742, ipagbabawal na rin, mula Marso 25 hanggang Mayo 8,  ang appointment o hiring ng mga bagong empleyado, pagbuo ng mga bagong posisyon, pagtaas sa sweldo, paglilipat ng civil service employees, at suspension ng elective local officials.
