Int’l community pours in aid for ‘Odette’-hit victims

Foreign assistance for relief efforts has poured in for the Filipinos affected by Typhoon Odette.

Among the countries that have pledged to donate to the victims of Typhoon Odette are the United States, China and South Korea.

According to U.S. Embassy Chargé D’affaires Heather Variava, they will be giving P10 million to the Philippines.

China will be giving 10 metric tons of rice, while South Korea will be giving humanitarian assistance amounting to $2 million.

Japan, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom have also promised to help the Philippines. – Report form Mark Fetalco/PG-rir
