MANILA – Overcast skies will reign in most parts of the country on Saturday, Jan. 29, brought by the shear line or the tail-end of a frontal system.
In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail in the Ilocos and the Cordillera regions, Batanes, and Cagayan due to the shear line.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by the easterlies or shear line.
Winds in extreme northern Luzon will be moderate to strong, headed northeast, with moderate to rough coastal waters.
Light to moderate winds headed southeast to southwest will blow over the Visayas and the rest of Luzon, with slight to moderate seas.
Mindanao, meanwhile, will have light to moderate winds, headed east to northeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 24°C to 33°C; Baguio City, 15°C to 22°C; Puerto Princesa City, 24°C to 30°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 30°C; and Metro Davao, 23°C to 33°C. (PNA) – bny
