Marcos-Duterte tandem to hold proclamation rally in Philippine Arena

Around 25,000 people are expected to join the proclamation rally of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and his running mate, vice presidential aspirant Sara Duterte-Carpio that will be held at 4:00 p.m. today, Feb. 8, at the Philippine Arena.

According to Marcos’ camp, volunteers have been busy preparing for the event since Saturday.

To comply with minimum public health standards, half of the arena’s seating capacity, a total of 25,000, will only be allowed.

The presidential and vice-presidential tandem is expected to reveal their senatorial slate during the rally.

Based on information from the Marcos camp, the slate might include Senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Migz Zubiri.

The slate may also include former Defense Sec. Gibo Teodoro, former DPWH Sec. Mark Villar, former Palace Spokesperson Harry Roque, Congresswoman Loren Legarda, former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Congressman Rodante Marcoleta, former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, lawyer Larry Gadon, and former DICT Sec. Gringo Honasan. – With reports from Daniel Manalastas/PG – bny
