Army allots P72-M for 8 bulldozers

MANILA — The Philippine Army is setting aside PHP72 million for the acquisition of eight bulldozers to boost its engineering capabilities.

Army Special Bids and Awards Committee-3 chair, Maj. Gen. Joselito M. Reyes, said winning bidders for the supply of the equipment must be able to deliver it within 120 calendar days.

The engineering units of the Army, Navy, and Air Force are at the forefront of clearing Marawi City of war debris.

Bidders should also have completed, within five years from the date of submission and receipt of bids, a contract similar to the project.

A pre-bid conference is slated to be held at the Office of the Army Chief of Engineers Conference Room, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City at about 9 a.m. on November 29.

Bid opening is on Dec. 11 at the same venue and same time, Reyes said. (Priam Nepomuceno/PNA)
