Warm, humid weather to prevail across PH

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

MANILA – Warm and humid weather with isolated rain showers will prevail over the entire country on Wednesday (Mar. 30), the weather bureau said.

“The low-pressure area that (the bureau) was monitoring left the Philippine Area of Responsibility around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and is no longer causing a direct effect. There are no other weather disturbance(s) as well,” Grace Castañeda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Due to the easterlies, warm and humid weather will be experienced, with isolated rains likely in the afternoon or evening.

“Stay indoors or limit outdoor activities,” Castañeda said.

Those who would go outside must bring sun protection, wear light clothes, and drink water to prevent possible health conditions, she added.

Too much time under the sun can lead to sunburn, dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke.

Metro Manila and Tuguegarao’s temperature could reach 34°C; Laoag, 33°C; Zamboanga and Davao, 34°C; and Iloilo, Cebu, and Tacloban, 32°C.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will continue to prevail over northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) – bny
