MANILA — Scattered rains will prevail over the entire archipelago as various weather systems continue to affect the country, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday morning.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Mindanao and eastern Visayas.
Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will also prevail over Aurora, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino, but PAGASA said this is due to the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern part of northern Luzon.
The northeast monsoon affecting the rest of northern Luzon will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will prevail over Luzon and eastern Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, light to moderate winds will prevail with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
