Marcos leads unofficial, partial vote tally

An unofficial and partial tally of votes in the presidential election on Monday, May 9, showed former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos taking a strong early lead.

Based on the unofficial and partial results as of 8:47 p.m., Marcos had 18,975,119 votes, followed by Vice President Leni Robredo who got 8,979,607.

In the vice presidential race, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is leading the count with 18,588,524 votes, followed by Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan with 5,696,594.

There are about 65.7 million registered voters in the country.
