Palace: Duterte ‘no comment’ on Marcos’ cabinet members

By Katrina Gracia Consebido

Acting Presidential Spokesperson Martin Andanar said on Tuesday, May 24 that President Rodrigo Duterte remained mum on presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s potential Cabinet members.

“Wala naman kaming napag-uusapan during our Talk to the People address or mini-Cabinet meetings. Walang binabanggit ang ating Pangulo sa mga naglalabasan sa pahayagan about the choices of the presumptive President,” Andanar said during a press briefing.

Andanar added that the President’s mandate is to have a professional transition to the incoming administration so that the new appointed officials will be able to continue the pending projects of the outgoing administration.

“Ang marching orders ni Presidente, again, is for us to transition professionally,” Andanar continued.

Outgoing President Duterte will end his term on June 30 at 12:00 noon. – gb
