Stephen Loman and Fabrico Andrade aim for faceoff for the title shot

By Myris Lee

Stephen “The Sniper” Loman of Baguio City’s Team Lakay and Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade of Brazil share a similar aim of getting a crack on the ONE Championship belt against each other.

A week ago, Andrade collected his fourth straight knockout victory at ONE 158 Tawanchai vs. Larsen by beating Kwon Won Il in just over a minute in the first round with a thunderous kick to the liver that instantly dropped the South Korean.

Although nothing is official as of yet, Andrade’s victory may have punched a ticket to a shot at the world title. But as he mentioned in his previous interviews, he wants to test his mettle against Loman for the title who has a similar mindset.

“In any case, from Lineker or from Andrade, I have a firm goal to bring the belt home to the Philippines,” Loman said.

“Surely Andrade is a tough one and if he will get the chance to fight Lineker before me and if he aces out Lineker, then I am all up to grab the belt from him, if given the opportunity,” Loman added.

“The Sniper” believes a fight against Andrade is inevitable and one that could come sooner rather than later.  –ag
