MMDA free bike and motorcycle repair stations now open to public

By Myris Lee

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) launched two motorcycle and bike repair stations in the EDSA-Quezon Avenue flyover on Thursday, June 16.

The two repair shops offering free services are located at the ground level of EDSA-Quezon Avenue at the overpass U-turn slot and in front of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). They are operational from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The MMDA project aims to assist riders and cyclists in case their motorcycles or bicycle break down while on the road.

The repair shops are equipped with basic tools for minor repairs of bikes and motorcycles with an MMDA personnel assigned to provide assistance.

The MMDA plans to put up more repair stations in other strategic areas with many motorcyclists and cyclists such as C-5 and along Commonwealth Avenue. – ag
