PTNI, APO hold GAD planning, budgeting; Gender seminar conducted

The APO Production Unit, Inc. and the People’s Television Network, Inc. (PTNI) conducted a joint gender and development (GAD) planning and budgeting for 2023, while PTNI employees participated in a Gender Fair Media/Language seminar in Davao.

The GAD planning and budgeting (GPB) was held at the Island Garden City of Samal, Davao Del Norte on June 2 to 4.

This was followed by the gender seminar for the employees of PTNI Davao at the Mindanao Media Hub on June 5, with Philippine Commission on Women (PCW)- accredited speaker Alvin Cloyd Dakis.

The GPB is pursuant to the Magna Carta of Women (MCW) and the General Appropriations Act (GAA) which mandate government offices to “formulate their annual GPBs within the context of their mandates to mainstream gender perspectives in their policies, programs and projects.”

The recent activities, attended by government top media officials, are backed by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), PTNI, and APO.

Present in the activities were PCOO Undersecretary Rocky Ignacio, PTNI General Manager Kat De Castro, PTNI Board of Directors chairperson Ms. Maria Fe Aliño, and APO president and chairperson Michael Dalumpines.  AG-ngs
