Fair weather, isolated rains to prevail across PH

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

The ridge of a high pressure area and the easterlies will bring fair weather across the archipelago Monday, June 20, the weather bureau said.

“No weather disturbance was seen inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. What we are experiencing now is the monsoon break,” Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

He, however, said that despite the monsoon break, or breaks in rainfall events, isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms are still likely.

“These rains may be light to moderate, to at times heavy. Don’t forget to bring an umbrella,” he said.

The temperature in Tuguegarao could reach up to 35 °C. The maximum temperature in Metro Manila, Laoag, the Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa is 33 °C.

In Iloilo, Cebu, Tacloban, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga and Davao, the maximum temperature could reach 32 °C.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the country. – gb
