Rainy Tuesday for most of parts PH due to LPA, ‘habagat’

Many areas in the country will continue to experience rains brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat) and a low pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said Tuesday, July 12.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila, Region 4-A (Calabarzon), Region 4-B (Mimaropa), Bicol Region, Aurora and the Visayas will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides remain likely during moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA said.

The LPA was last tracked 420 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora and has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA) – bny
