Warm weather to prevail across PH Friday

Most parts of the country will have warm weather despite the presence of a low pressure area (LPA) on Friday, July 22, the weather bureau said.

“Because of the easterlies, most parts of the country will have generally warm weather, and localized thunderstorms,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The LPA was last tracked 185 kilometers west of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

“We do not expect it to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, and it will likely dissipate while over the West Philippine Sea.”

The weather bureau said no weather disturbance is expected until the weekend, however, two tropical cyclones are still possible to develop before the end of the month.

For Friday’s forecast, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced over Palawan due to the LPA. Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Improved and warm weather will prevail over most of Luzon.

Temperature could reach up to 33 °C in Tuguegarao; 32 °C in Metro Manila, Legazpi and Puerto Princesa; 22 °C in Baguio.

Mostly fair weather is expected over the Visayas and Mindanao.

The temperature in Iloilo, Tacloban, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga and Davao could reach 32 °C.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago. (PNA)-ngs
