Filipinos in Italy told to take precaution amid heat wave

The Philippine Embassy in Italy reminded Filipinos to be cautious amid the current heat wave in the European country.

This followed the Italian Ministry of Health’s July 21 bulletin indicating red alert levels in several areas until July 23 as temperatures may go beyond 40 degrees Celsius.

“All Filipino nationals in Italy, especially the elderly, infants, children, and pregnant women, are advised to take the necessary precautions and to be cautious of the negative effects caused by high temperatures,” the DFA said.

Based on the bulletin, red levels were raised in 16 areas between July 21 and July 23, of which 14 were placed under red levels for three days.  –ag
