Fair weather continues to prevail across PH Tuesday

The whole country will continue to experience fair weather on Tuesday, the weather bureau said.

No southwest monsoon is affecting the country so fair weather will be experienced across the archipelago, Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms is still likely which may cause flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Aurelio said that even if weather disturbance “Inday” already exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), it will still bring strong winds over extreme Northern Luzon.

PAGASA said the winds associated with the typhoon will also cause rough to very rough seas over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon (Batanes and Babuyan Islands).

Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea, while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.

Meanwhile, Aurelio said the tropical depression outside PAR may possibly enter the country by Thursday or Friday.

Once inside PAR, it will be given the local name, “Josie”. (PNA)
