The Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations (Cocopea) welcomed the decision of the Department of Education (DepEd) to extend blended learning modalities in private schools after Oct. 31.
The Education department issued DepEd Order No. 44 s. 2022, allowing private schools to continue offering flexible learning modalities.
“With this, the benefits and innovations of these flexible learning modalities can be maximized and utilized by learners and learning institutions,” Cocopea Managing Director Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada said.
“More importantly, this policy is a recognition of the continuing partnership and complementarity between public and private sectors in education, which has become an important paradigm achieving collective development goals for our Philippine education system,” Estrada added.
DepEd earlier mandated all public and private schools to hold full face-to-face classes starting Nov. 2. -ag
