LPG prices up in November

Households will now have to spend more on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Tuesday, Nov. 1, as oil firms are set to implement a hike.

In an advisory, Petron Corp. said it will increase the prices of LPG products by P3.50 per kilogram (kg) and AutoLPG prices by P1.96 per liter effective 10:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Petroleum will also implement a hike of P3.50 per kg of LPG and AutoLPG prices by P1.95 per liter beginning 11:00 p.m.

Latest data from the Department of Energy as of October showed the retail prices of an 11-kg LPG cylinder ranged from P786.95 to P971.95.
