‘Paeng’ death toll rises to 155

The death toll from Severe Tropical Storm “Paeng” rose to 155, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported Saturday, Nov. 5.

A total of 121 deaths have been confirmed, while 34 are still yet to be validated.

The fatalities came from the following regions: Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (63), Western Visayas (23), Calabarzon (20), Soccsksargen (3), Central Luzon (2), and Cordillera Administrative Region (1).

NDRRMC also reported that 129 persons were injured, while 34 individuals were still missing.

“Paeng” affected 1,209,456 families or 4,230,460 individuals in all 17 regions of the country. -ag
