The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the shear line will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over parts of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Monday.

Bicol Region, Palawan, Quezon, Aurora, Isabela and Cagayan may possibly experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Isolated rain showers will prevail over the rest of the country, the weather bureau said.

Meanwhile, Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate, with slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said no low pressure area or weather disturbance was monitored inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The temperature in Laoag will reach up to 33 °C; and up to 32 °C in Metro Manila.

Zamboanga’s temperature will also reach up to 33 °C; and Davao up to 31 °C. The temperature in Cagayan de Oro, Tacloban, Iloilo and Cebu is forecast to reach up to 30 °C. (PNA)
