PBBM: Kadiwa to continue beyond December holidays

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said Thursday, Dec. 1, that the Kadiwa ng Pasko project will continue even after the holiday season through partnership with local government units (LGUs).

In his speech at the Kadiwa ng Pasko caravan in Quezon City, Marcos expressed desire to continue the program throughout the country to provide more affordable agricultural products to consumers.

“Hindi lamang sa mga LGU. Magtutulungan na ang Office of the President at ang ating mga LGU para lahat dahan-dahang kumakalat ang dami nito. Kaya’t ‘yan po ang ating dapat ipagpatuloy,” he said.

Marcos said the program is in line with the government’s plan to lower the price of rice to P20.00 per kilogram. It will also provide a market to agricultural producers and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Pioneer city

Marcos commended the Quezon City government for introducing the project that has become a model for other Metro Manila LGUs.

“Kaya kung kakayanin nung sistema ninyo ang Quezon City, eh kakayanin ‘yung mas maliliit. Kaya’t we were looking and seeing ano ‘yung mga kung tawagin ay best practices ay tinitingnan namin para maging mas maganda,” he said.

AG
