Fair weather, isolated rain showers across PH Wednesday

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

Most parts of the country will continue to experience fair weather and isolated rain showers, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Cagayan due to the shear line affecting northern Luzon.

Flash floods or landslides are possible due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains, the PAGASA said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.

Batanes will have isolated light rain showers caused by the northeast monsoon.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, strong winds and rough seas will prevail over northern Luzon.

Rough to very rough seas are forecast over Batanes, Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and the northern and western coasts of Ilocos Norte.

PAGASA advised fishing boats and other small sea vessels not to venture into the sea, and larger sea vessels have been alerted against big waves.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
