Shabu worth 89-M seized in Las Piñas City, suspect nabbed

Over P89 million worth of suspected illegal drugs was confiscated by law enforcement authorities in an anti-illegal drug operation in Almanza Dos, Las Piñas City on Wednesday, Jan. 11, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

A 25-year-old woman identified as Jolle Ann Cuer y Trimonia was also arrested in the operation conducted by the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA), NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NIA-DITG), and Philippine National Police (PNP).

A confidential informant’s report led to the seizure of 13,175 grams of white crystalline substance of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, four self-sealing foil pouches of snacks, 44 self-sealing foil pouch containing white crystalline substance, and a mobile phone.

These were sent to the PDEA Laboratory Service for analysis. The suspect was subjected to a drugs test pending the filing of an appropriate complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. -ag
