The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) is offering 23 short courses for free.

“As we welcome another year of learning and growth, we are happy to announce that this 2023, UPOU is offering 23 short courses with 5 additional multimedia production courses for free,” UPOU wrote on Facebook.

UPOU said all of the courses are self-paced and open to everyone so students may “complete them at their own convenience.”

At the end of every course, e-certificates will be awarded to course completers which they may include in their resume as a 16-hour training.

UPOU’s Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) include courses in gender sensitivity training, basics of graphic design, introduction to technology for teaching and learning, scriptwriting for a video material, and basic animation using powtoon, among others.

Short courses are offered from February to December.
