Ex-Pres. Duterte now Pampanga’s ‘adopted son’

Former President Rodrigo Duterte was named as an adopted son of the province of Pampanga on Thursday, Jan. 26.

This was shared by former President and now House Senior Deputy Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in a post.

Duterte attended the Handog ng Pasasalamat event dedicated to him in Pampanga, where he was welcomed by provincial government officials.

The Pampanga Provincial Information Office (PIO) said the adoption was through Resolution No. 7643 that was passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and was approved by Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.

“Dahil sa kanyang mga natatanging kontribusyon sa mga Kapampangan, pormal nang kinilala at idineklara bilang ‘adopted son of Pampanga’ si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa bisa ng Resolution No. 7643,” Pampanga PIO shared.
