Quezon City (QC) will have another commitment ceremony for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) couples in February, Mayor Joy Belmonte shared on social media earlier this week.

Belmonte said the love month event is sponsored by the mayor’s office and the QC Gender and Development Council.

“Love has no limits. Love is universal. Love wins, always. Sa ikalawang pagkakataon, mag-o-organisa ang lokal na pamahalaan ng QC, sa pangunguna ni Mayor Joy, ng isang commitment ceremony para sa ating mga kapatid na kabilang sa LGBTQIA+ sa darating sa February 2023,” the post read.

The requirements include a Barangay Certificate of Residence, an accomplished registration form, picture of applicants, and a QC ID.

Participants can get the registration form from QC’s action office or mini city hall that can be viewed here.

The city government conducted the first commitment ceremony for LGBTQ+ in February 2020, and was followed by another event in 2022 with 222 couples exchanging vows. – gb
