‘Amihan’ continues to affect Luzon

Northeast monsoon or “amihan” will continue to affect Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday, Jan. 29.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon will have cloudy skies with rains due to “amihan.”

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon also due to the northeast monsoon.

Shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Oriental.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, especially during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong winds heading northeast, and moderate to rough coastal waters in the next 24 hours.

The temperature ranges between 23.4 °C and 29.4 °C. (PNA) – gb
