A miracle baby girl was born under collapsed buildings in small town Jindayris, Syria following the magnitude 7.8 quake that struck the said country and Turkey early Monday morning.

According to on-ground rescuers, her mother went into labor soon after the disaster and gave birth before she died.

While conducting search and rescue operations, they found the baby girl buried under rubble and immediately pulled her out.

Video of the rescue went viral on social media, showing footage of a volunteer sprinting from the rubble of a fallen four-story building clutching the baby covered in dust.

She is currently in a hospital nearby Afrin and is in a stable condition.

Unfortunately, the baby’s father, four siblings, and aunt were also killed.

They are among the nearly 10,000 people killed by the massive tremor and multiple aftershocks. With a report from VOA News-ag
