Exile’s Alan Shirahama named PH tourism ambassador

Alan Shirahama from Japanese boy band Exile, has been named as the Philippine tourism ambassador, the Department of Tourism (DOT) announced.

Born to a Filipino mother and a Japanese father, Shirahama is also a DJ and the leader of Japanese all-male dance and music group Generations from Exile Tribe.

Shirahama is a member of Exile, a Japanese boy band which has sold over 24 million records in Japan alone.

He has also starred in movies such as “Daytime Shooting Star,” “Prince of Legend,” and “One in a Hundred Thousand.”

The Japanese performer received the distinction from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and DOT Secretary Christina Franco during Marcos’ 5-day official working visit in Japan.
