Usually sold at street stalls throughout the country, lumpiang shanghai combines ground pork or beef with carrots, onions, and various seasonings usually accompanied by sweet and sour dipping sauce.

Taste Atlas also described the dish as a “staple dish served on special and festive occasions.”

The rankings were based on audience rating, according to Taste Atlas.

Topping the list was China’s guotie, a dumpling filled with minced pork, cabbage, scallions, ginger, rice wine, and sesame seed oil.
