Various artists from the Far Eastern University (FEU) mounted an art exhibit on Monday, Feb. 20.

Hosted by the FEU Alumni Association, the exhibit showcases the works of its fine arts program’s alumni.

Among artists who showcased their works were PTV Digital Media’s Gabriel Gapay.

Gapay displayed “Duncan,” his contemporary take on old book illustrations and Western style.

He said he draws inspiration from the 1973 film “High Plains Drifter,” in which a mysterious man wanders into a small town and exacts revenge on the corrupt inhabitants.

“The artwork invites the viewer to explore the intersection between classic Western stories, personal expression, and contemporary art,” Gapay wrote on Instagram.

“Paintings and sculptures that explore the relationship between technology and art, address current societal challenges, and make use of unorthodox mediums will be on display,” the Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts wrote on Facebook.

The art exhibit is open until March 4.
