Panagbenga Festival gets more lively with street dance

The Session Road in the country’s Summer Capital is once again filled with colors and festive energy on Saturday, Feb. 24, with Baguio’s Panagbenga 2023 Grand Street Dance Competition.

The competition was joined by various groups from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, and Central Luzon.

Seventeen teams competed in the cultural dance category, 19 in the festival dance, and four in the drum and lyre competition at the Melvin Jones Grandstand. 

Different Cordilleran attire, culture, and native musical instruments were showcased in the cultural dance category.

For the street dance, groups from Ilocos Sur, La Union, Nueva Ecija, and Pangasinan participated.
