MMFF announces 8 official entries for summer edition

Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) on Thursday, Feb. 23 announced its official eight entries for its first-ever summer edition this year.

The lineup that make up the eight films includes drama, comedy, musical drama, and romance drama.

Here are the films that made to the list: 

  • Apag (Center Stage Production) Directed by Brillante Mendoza. Starring Coco Martin, Lito Lapid, Jacklyn Jose, and Gladys Reyes
  • Singlebells (TINCAN) Directed by Fifth Solomon, starring Aljur Abrenica, Alex Gonzaga, and Angeline Quinto
  • About Us But Not About Us (Octoberian Films, The Ideafirst Company, and Quantum films) Directed by Jun Robles Lana, starring Romnick Sarmenta and Elijah Canlas
  • Kahit Maputi Na Buhok Ko (Saranggola Media Productions, Inc.) Directed by Joven M. Tan, starring RK Bagatsing and Meg Imperial
  • Unravel: A Swiss Side Love Story (Mavx Productions, Inc.). Directed by RC delos Reyes. Starring Gerald Anderson and Kylie Padilla
  • Here Comes the Groom (Quantum Films, Cineko Productions, Brightlight Productions) Directed by Chris Martinez, starring Enchong Dee, Keempee De Leon, Awra Briguela, Xilhouette, Maris Racal, and KaladKaren
  • Yung Libro sa Napanood Ko (Viva Communications, Inc.) Directed by Bela. Starring Yoo Min-Gon and Bela Padilla
  • Love You Long Time (Studio Three Sixty Inc.). Directed by JP Habac. Starring Carlo Aquino and Eisel Serrano

The first summer MMFF will run from April 8 to 18 in all cinemas nationwide. – gb
